In the past few years, we have covered plenty of wheeled- robots that can complete tasks not possible by regular quadruped robots. Opening doors can be a challenge for them though. Researchers have now adapted the idea of Random Network Distillation to enable robots to move and manipulate simultaneously. As you can see in the below video, a wheeled legged robot can now open doors:
