It is no secret that plenty of companies are working to perfect autonomous unmanned vehicles. DARPA’s RACER program recently tested the RACER Heavy Platform (RHP). It measures 12 tons and uses the Textron M5 base platform. The below video shows its autonomous-route-following-mode:

The aim for this experiment was to test low-level autonomous control and collect sensor data.
